… at least not in my book!
I have always been a fan of crudité. At any given holiday, you can find me and my Grandmother’s house, parked in front of the veggie tray - dip, dip, dipping away!
My favorite combo? Carrots and French onion dip! Seriously, SO good. Even if it wasn’t a holiday, carrots (the biggest bag I could find), sour cream and French onion soup mix were grocery store staples. It wasn’t until I started avoiding dairy that this became an issue.
I thought my solution would most definitely be - hummus. However, after trying quite a few flavors of Sabra hummus, Simply Balanced from Target and Tribe brands, I was not impressed. For whatever reason, they all seemed to fall short.
It wasn’t until I was at the annual Rubino holiday party (a framily tradition we've grown to love) on Christmas night that I tried the most delicious hummus I had EVER tasted. It honestly tasted home made. I knew I had to make it my mission to track down Mrs. Rubino (the hostes with the mostest) for the recipe. When she told me it was Cedar's brand I was shocked, she had dressed it up a bit with fresh herbs and red onion but regardless of the extra fixings, I fell-in-love! I have since fallen in love with ‘Eat Well Embrace Life’s’ black bean hummus as well. Both of these brands are non GMO and delicious!!
If you haven’t given them a shot I suggest you get on it ASAP, you will not be disappointed!
